Much to talk about here: my store is open (though you might want to wait a couple weeks for new bookmark designs), I have conventions soon, there's another fundraising auction on now, and I have a bunch of new art from the last 2.5 months.
First and most importantly - the third annual #KidlitForCeasefire fundraiser is on now, raising money for families in Gaza to evacuate and pay for urgent expenses.
I'm auctioning a custom character art commission. As usual I'll scale that (detail/number of characters) depending how high the bid reaches.
It's from March 17 - April 2nd - so you have the next two weeks to bid.

Another auction currently running is the Trans Rights Readathon Auction for Point of Pride - Kingdom of Threads has donated one of their Dragonfall Merch Bundles (with my art), as well as four puzzles which - I don't think this has actually been revealed anywhere else yet but one of them is by me ๐๐

I made a new little graphic background. Will I ever make consistent branding? probably not. but for now, have this.
Wellington Armageddon is in 2.5 weeks (yikes!), and Auckland Armageddon at the end of April.
I've applied for the Newtown Market on June 6 - though if something else comes up I may switch that. Should be doing Wellington Zinefest which has just been announced as June 27 and October 31.
New Art
I did a lot of character art last year but very little detailed illustrations...I had 'detailed illustration' 'forest' 'original character' (and a few other similar) on my art bingo last year and I did NONE of them so I decided to sit down and finish this. Which has been a sketch file sitting there for like 2 years. I love a mossy forest.
Some (more) fanart of Pantomime by L.R. Lam! Book 3 just rereleased. I've been wanting to do some more in depth fanart of it for a while.
I had a few things in mind with this: I wanted to keep it kinda loose and focus more on the piece as a whole instead of getting stuck on refining tiny details (something I tend to do), and also just wanted to do something with this colour palette...
I watched Pluribus a while back and it's very good. Here's carol and manousos, the biggest haters in the world. There's a couple alt versions of this on instagram!
I considered doing a more detailed sketchy rendered version initially, but decided simple/bold is better.....did like my little sketches though. and i added a zosia.

And: new bookmarks! A bit of a random selection this time, but these ideas have been marinating for a while. I'm waiting on proofs right now, and it'll probably take a week or two before I get them on my store - should be by the end of the month!
