Events

I did the Newtown Market a few weeks ago which was.... uneventful, but as expected.

Great Games With Pals is next weekend (4-5 october), so if you're in wellington come visit! It's free entry at the dominion museum. Also within walking distance of Zinefest which is on at the same time. I hope it's not raining like the forecast says....

Then I'll be in Auckland for Armageddon, 24-27 October.

I may do some end of year wellington events? but currently the future beyond auckgeddon does not exist.

New Art

For some reason I have So much art all of a sudden. where did it come from! This is not even all of it, I'm posting this email earlier than usual because I have a bunch to post in the next few weeks too....

I reread A Master of Djinn recently, which I love a lot. Here's a little drawing of Fatma and Siti on her motorbike. (yes i did trace this and then make it more steampunky. i don't know what motorbikes look like)

Some character designs of Micah, Aenea & Drystan from Pantomime by L.R. Lam! I did so much art of this series as a teenager... and it's been reworked & rereleased! I was lucky enough to get an arc from L a few months ago. I can't wait to read the new versions of book 2 & 3.

I've been drawing a bunch of dead leaves and tiny fungi lately and then I was thinking about those bugs that look like dead leaves.... and then this. Truly a random sketchbook doodle that turned into a perfect thing immediately. I might make more....

There's some new things in my store, and I've done a bit of spring cleaning - rearranging the order of things on the homepage, replacing the images on miniprint listings, and splitting the book collection into bookish art and book fanart, to make it a bit easier to browse those.

First: A new sticker design! I've been wanting to make this for ages but I just couldn't get the design right (my earlier sketches were so complicated, it's funny how obviously better and simple this is). There's a normal version and one that's exactly library card size so you can put it on your library card :) (and a few other alt options)

I have some new mini prints of original art - some of these I've had for a while at cons, just not on my store. They're pretty much all semi-gloss photographic prints.

There are a couple other new stickers on my store too if you can spot them....I haven't posted those yet. Next week. I've also been making some new laser cut earring designs, and something else new that I'm excited about! But they're more for in person, idk if I'll put them on my store immediately.
